Translation
Oh, my heart! Sing the praises of the compassionate Śrī Rāmachandra, who destroys fear of the cycle of life and death, and Whose eyes, mouth, hands, and feet are like a newly blooming lotus || 1 ||
The shade of his beauty is greater than that of countless Cupids. His body has a beautiful color like a new blue-water cloud. His yellow robes are shining like lightning on His cloud-like body, his beauty is gleaming, and he is the consort of Sita, Janaka's daughter || 2 ||
Sing praises of Śrī Rāma; Who is a friend of the poor; Who is the Lord of the Sun; Who destroys the line of demons from Danu and Diti; Who is the dear one of Raghu; Who is like a cloud of happiness; Who is like a moon for Kosala Desa, and Who is dear to Dasharatha || 3 ||
Sing praises of Śrī Rāma; Who has a beautiful crown on His head; Who is adorned with ear-hoops; Who is decorated with beautiful ornaments and a tilak on His forehead; Who has long arms reaching His knees; Who holds a bow and an arrow, and Who defeated Khara and Dushana in a fierce battle || 4 ||
Tulsidas prays that Rama, the one who pleases Lord Siva, Sesha, and all the saints, always reside in my lotus-like heart and destroy lust, anger, greed caused by desire || 5 ||
In which your mind has become attached, you will become the same beautiful Śrī Rāmachandra by nature. He is the treasure of mercy and Knowledge (Sarvagya) || 6 ||
In this way, hearing the blessings of Gauri-devi, all the friends including Janaki were happy in their hearts. Tulsidas says that after worshipping Bhavani again and again, Sita returned to the palace with a happy heart || 7 ||
Knowing Gauri-devi as favorable, the joy that happened in Sita’s heart cannot be described || 8 ||
